Oil and water No. 4

I was trying to do a painting a day, but for me it has become more like a painting a week. This is the latest in the Oil and Water series. 6 inches by 4 inches, oil on canvasboard. -CD

Sometimes, when I get lost in what I do, ideas emerge. Almost like alternative paths. I often follow them, but not for very long. If I could confess one thing about myself as a painter it would be that I am lost. And each painting is an effort to find my way. My hope is that I will eventually create a work that inspires me to continue along it’s path. So here is an older painting that I painted (July 2006). It is an oil on canvas. It measures 24 inches by 48 inches, oil on canvas. Part of being a painter is showing your work in order to seek approval. Not that it matters much, but it does make you feel better when someone sees something in what you have done. Paintings are visual manifestations of ideas, thoughts, dreams etc. -CD
